2021 SPECIAL OLYMPICS

              LAW ENFORCEMENT

              TORCH RUN



              On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, the
              Santa Barbara County Probation
              Department joined local county law
              enforcement officers for the annual
              Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch
              Run. The “Flame of Hope” was carried
              through Santa Barbara County from Santa
              Maria to the county line in Carpinteria.


              Supervising Probation Officer (SPO) Amber
              Flores coordinated the Santa Maria
              Probation Team which included SPO
              Julianna Groves, Sr. DPOs Jose Macedo and
              Wendy Veliz, Juvenile Institutions Officer
              (JIO) Cindy Barraza, and AOP Vicky Graham.
              DPO Lupita Flores coordinated the Santa
              Barbara Probation team which included Sr.
              DPO Sarah Miller, Department Business
              Specialist (DBS) Dana Grossi, and AOP
              Roselyne Allen.

              RECOGNIZING GREATNESS
























             The  Santa  Barbara  County  Probation  Department  recognizes  staff  across  all  divisions
             who  go  above  and  beyond  in  service  to  the  department  and  our  community.  The
             Department has highlighted the following individuals for their exemplary performance:

             AOPs Miriam Castenetto, Yessenia Moreno, Betty Olea, and Marbella Valdez for stepping
             in to cover needed shifts at the JJC.  These staff regularly volunteer for coverage at the
             JJC without hesitation to support their colleagues and the Department in the midst of an
             extremely challenging time!
